Natural Shower Curtains - Why use Hemp?

Hemp fiber is one of the strongest and most durable of all natural fibers and is an ideal fabric for shower curtains because it is naturally resistant to mold and mildew.

Hemp will not trap moisture inside the tub that contributes to mold growth like conventional plastic liners.

It is also one of the only fabrics that is stronger wet than dry and because of its highly porous nature dries quickly naturally.

Using hemp results in significant cost savings over time because it has a much longer life span than other natural fabrics.

Care Instructions: Recommend hang to dry [per image below] after use. Ensure that the bathroom is well ventilated so that mold and mildew will not be an issue. Recommend monthly machine washing shower curtain in cold water with a cap full of white vinegar and can be hung to dry or low tumble dry. If mold/mildew does appear, its usually due to poor ventilation [the shower curtain doesn't dry completely after use] but can be washed with a natural cleaner such as Borax or distilled vinegar.
